Dani Pedrosa scored his fourth MotoGP pole of the season at Autodromo di
Misano on his Repsol Honda bike on the final lap in the hour long qualifying
session. The Spaniard not only took the top honor but he laid down a
blistering time of 1:33.948 which his rivals could not touch. Pedrosa was
the only one under the 1min, 34sec. lap time -- three-tenths faster than the

Much to the disappointment of the American fans it was not a local
hero that won today's Indianapolis GP but a Spaniard. Texan native and
rookie Ben Spies took his first MotoGP series pole yesterday but after
leading for seven laps he lost the position to Dani Pedrosa. The Repsol
Honda rider would go on to control the pace, leaving Spies to settle for
second as his best result so far this year. Title leader Jorge Lorenzo

Dario Franchitti won the Indy 300 at Chicagoland Speedway after stopping
for fuel only during a late race caution period. Thirty laps remained when
the field reported to the pits for fuel and tires but Franchitti exited the
pits with the lead after taking fuel only. Franchitti ran 62 laps on his
last set of tires, crossing the finish line 0.0423 of a second ahead of Dan

Edoardo Mortara has claimed another victory on Saturday as he won Race 1 in the Formula 3 Euroseries at Brands Hatch. Mortara won ahead of Laurens Vanthoor and Marco Wittmann.
Stoneman wins at wet Oschersleben
Dean Stoneman has claimed victory at Oschersleben on Saturday afternoon. The Briton also took first place in the Formula two championship standings as Jolyon Palmer finished third, right behind Kazimieras Vasiliauskas who finished second.
Dean Stoneman claimed his fifth victory of the season - and the overall points lead - with a masterful drive in wet conditions at Oschersleben.
